  1. AGENDA VIEW: Option to show all day events at bottom and events with times at the top

    As in title, I prefer to have "all day" events at the bottom in the agenda view (including widgets) and would like to see all events with deadlines /times first. That would be my default preference or it could be an option that can be selected in the settings.

  2. Dynamic Event Background Images

    Dynamically display event background image when certain keywords are used. Google Calendar does this. For example, when I have an event with the word "Breakfast" the background displays a breakfast image. If I have an event with "Bike ride" it shows a bicycle. If I have an event at a specific place, it shows the Google street view image of that place. Like I said, Google Calendar already does this, it's pretty slick.

  3. Flexibility to display more all-day events

    In the Day (and multi-day) view, the all-day events get a certain amount of space at the top of the screen, and the time-specific events get the rest of the space below them. Let us control how much space the all-day events get. Right now it seems to be unchangeable.

    I can think of three options here. (1) In the settings, we could specify a percentage of the screen height to give to all-day events, for example, 20%, 40%, 60%. (2) On the screen itself, we could drag/drop the border down, as needed, to give the all-day events more space.…

  5. Export and delete function for a freely defined time period.

    In the section "Maintenance" it's currently possible to export or import a complete calendar only.

    1. It would be nice to have an export function for a freely defined time period.

    2. It should be also possible to delete the content for a freely defined time period.

    I'm working with the offline calendars (no sync with Google). Currently I have over 10000 entries. An export takes forever. :-(

    My idea is that I can export and delete the calendar year by year for example.

  6. Display rejected dates in calendar view in gray.

    It would be great if rejected appointments in the month or weekly overview are displayed in gray instead of completely fading them out. So you would quickly see in the overview of what dates you promised and which one refused.

  8. Postpone option for all tasts

    It would be good to have a postpone option for all tasks, not just the ones that have already passed. There's often times when I know I won't get to a task and want to postpone even though it's an all day task for today. Ones that are passed could be coloured red to highlight them.

  9. UI to specify notifications as date&time

    When adding a notification for an event, it's only possible to specify the notification time as relative to the event time (X hours in advance, etc.). It would be useful to have another option that allows to specify the notification time as given date&time.

    If it's technically difficult to remember the notification time this way, it'd be enough if BC automatically converted it to an offset, so this could be merely a UI addition (another possibility in the list of notification offsets when adding a notification or when postponing it). The calendar application DigiCal has this functionality.

  10. Have option to add shoulder events to your appointment - for travel time etc

    I would like to have a function to optionally add shoulder events for an appointment. Typically used to add travelling time either side of an appointment - to ensure that when others view your busy/freetime - they actually book a meeting time that you can physically make.

    So the idea would be that you create an appointment, then select the shoulder appointment checkbox (which could be 2 one for before/one for afterwards) then add a title and time for those 1 or 2 shoulder events - and save your appointment. What you get is 3 appointments back to back, Travel->Appointment->Travel…

  11. Be able to create a grouped template that includes both an event and tasks/subtask

    I have complex events with tasks and subtasks related to those events, and it would be very helpful to have a template group that includes the event and then creates the tasks I need for each event; even if it puts the tasks on the same day as the event (although it would be even better to be able to set each task as a certain number of days before/after the event)

  12. Back Button option: Always navigate to broader (or previous) view

    e.g.: Day [<] Week [<] Month [<] ExitApp

    This would fix the current behavior inconsistency, where e.g.
    — Month view > (2tap to) Day view > [<] >> Month view
    — Week view > (2tap to) Day view > [<] >> App exit

  14. Week number widget

    Hi,

    I would like to suggest that to develop a widget to show "week number" only . Many schools and work places plan their events by week number.

    Second, can you make week number (left or right or both sides) column in month view. The default one currently show week number inside the day box doesn't really look nice.

  15. Automatic Backup

    I'd like to be able to automatically backup my calendar, tasks, and options to the SD card. Right now every night I do a manual backup (i.e. export) of each of these, but that's an unreliable and intrusive way to be sure I have a current backup. I'd need to be able to specify what's backed up just as I do now with the manual export. Others may prefer backing up to a different location such as G-Drive or DropBox.

  16. I would like to see another privacy option 'confidential'

    ical spec as documented on
    https://icalendar.org/iCalendar-RFC-5545/3-8-1-3-classification.html
    shows three classification values:
    "PUBLIC" / "PRIVATE" / "CONFIDENTIAL"
    Currently, only PUBILC and PRIVATE are implemented in BC, while other programs and ical-servers also use confidential (e.g. owncloud, thunderbird lightning).
    With classification set to 'confidential', shared events will only show timeframe and 'busy' as description, no further details.

  17. Subtasks in Templates

    Being able to include subtasks in task templates.
    E.g. I make a template for a homework type that always requires printing the thing sufficiently in advance of the due date and doesn't need any details in itself, just an attached subtask.

    An option to display the day (of the year) number on each day. For example today Mar 30 is the 89th day of the year.

  19. Priority of drawing: "Bring Forward" ability so the user can display calendar events that are hidden behind other events

    Have a "bring to the front" and/or "bring forward" option (similar to the drawing options in Microsoft documents) on calendar events. If you have more than four overlapping events some get hidden or others have their ends hidden. With a bring forward option the user can arrange the display to best show their calendar.

  20. Agenda widget to display the oldest events after a period of inactivity

    After a period of inactivity the data displayed in the widget should refresh to the oldest date at the top

    The reason for this is that I often scroll through the agenda looking for an event. I then leave the phone. When I come back to look for todays activities I must scroll back to the top, which I sometimes forget to do. I have glanced at the phone in the past and missed todays events - as the widget is still showing the time period that I left it in.
