Alternative event/task provider option
I wish there were an option to use something another event/task provider, i.e.
- ToodleDo
- Exchange
- Yahoo
- CalDav
etc.

+1 for CalDav tasks! Calendar sync is already fine with CalDAV-Sync or DAVDroid, it just has to get access to the tasks part.

+1 for CalDav support, just tried OpenTasks with Owncloud and took notice of task sync missing in BC... 650 votes by now shouldn't be ignored :)

There are similar ideas on Outlook.com / Exchange tasks synchronisation registered with over 50 votes altogether. You should merge them into one major feature request. The alternative task provider option is top priority with almost 600 votes at present.

Add support for CalDAV tasks! It's the iPhone standard and has been around for decades. It works with ownCloud as well. Tasks and calendars work best together. I love business calendar, but this is desperately needed. OpenTasks doesn't support recurring tasks which is essential for me. Please at least give an update on if/when this support will be added.

Lack of this function is a real deal killer. I purchased PRO hoping that it would be added soon - to no avail. Hate having to have different task lists on phone/desktop. Integration with Wunderlist would be great.
