Desktop version would be a full new product, that's not gonna happen guys.
The only thing close enough on PC is "emclient" which I have been using for 5 years now.
It's a paid software, but you can try a free version (with limited number of emails)Then there's the good old Thunderbird+lightning extension if you don't like emclient.
Buy keep in mind that TB email format is pretty bad and won't scale with millions of emails. That's the reason why I switched to emclient, as TB was super slow. -

I'd like a desktop version as well.
Maybe I'll have to look into using Outlook for Android? May be much improved over the last several years?

I need a desktop version to use on my Surface, which is way more appropriate during meetings than adding tasks/schedules on the phone. Also it gives a better / bigger view without requiring start my browser. Adding a windows store application would enable lots of possibilities, like having a pin on the start menu which shows upcoming schedules or else. It would really improve my workflow.

I would LOVE to have a desktop version so that I could maintain my calendars more easily and sync them to my phone as well. I would be willing to pay as much for the desktop version as for the phone version, if not more!

You have an amazing app but it is incomplete without multi-devices accessibility. Build a Web-version, Please!
