Collapse free time in day view
On WebOS on my old Palm Pre, the calendar app would collapse larger blocks of free time in the day view into a visual indicator (folded paper), which would reveal the empty space in the day's calendar upon click (and reverse when clicked again). That way I could get a daily overview without zooming too much. Also, since the indicator was labeled with the duration (in hours) of free time, I could easily judge if I was free for another appointment at this time.
