CalDAV task sync
Add org.dmfs.tasks as a task provider.
I want to sync my personal tasks without Google and store them on my own CalDAV server.
Please make BC's tasks compatible with software like DAVdroid or CalDAV-Sync.
Would be awesome!

Marco, thanks for the hint. I did not realise that aCalendar+ supported OpenTasks!

Please update the name of the suggestion as the synchronisation is done by another provider. The only change needed is to support it in Business Calendar. See Open Tasks app for implementation.

+1 again, as the topic is heavily related to "Alternative event/task provider option" (https://appgenix.uservoice.com/forums/280499-business-calendar-2/suggestions/6939116-alternative-event-task-provider-option)

Yes, I currently use BC2 only for calendar because the lack of sync with other devices. I like the tasks capabilities of BC2 but I need to sync with devices in my family and that is why we are using wunderlist right now. Please implement a sync using your servers or open servers as mentioned here.

It good to see that it is under review. Hopefully we won't be 2018 and we still here hoping the feature is enabled and supported.

The integration of scheduled (and unscheduled) tasks into “Business Calendar 2” has already been solved very successful – chapeau! Unfortunately, syncing tasks only work with the involvement of a Google account. Technically it works fine, but – in regards to data protection – to my mind, it’s not a clean solution. Personally I would highly prefer, to have the additional ability to synchronize the tasks via the CalDav protocol. For example, the data synchronization ability of “DAVdroid”, as it is already made available for calendar data with your app, would be a great solution. By the way, the calendar app “aCalndar+” went already this way ;-)
Maybe you will include this idea in your further release planning ... -

I would like to do that too...

This open source task app does a great job with caldav tasks.

Would love to use only one app for calendar and task :-)

One could also take the opposite approach:
Create a public task provider, the same way OpenTasks does it. DAVdroid & co. would have to additionally sync the BC tasks. This would require cooperation of third party apps, but I think it would be significantly less work for the BC team.

I sync my calendar data included the task with CalDAV-Sync. The task also already in the "Kalenderspeicher". Business Calendar only must still show the tasks. A other app from Marten Gajda show the tasks without new sync connection to CalDAV Server.

Would also have to support other OpenTasks features:
- start date
- check list
- priority
- progress
- etc. (all great improvements) -
