Eliminate Google Calendar, while still syncing between desktop and Android calendar
I don't like to share my appointments with Google Calendar, and with every spy who can see into Google Calendar's data. I would like the calendar data to be on my Android device and on my Mac OS X 10.10 desktop. I would like to synchronise between them using a wired USB or a local wi-fi connection, not a cloud or external server.
This is one of two gaps which is driving me to use CompanionLink instead of Business Calendar.

I guess you guys gotta understand how calendering works in android: your calendar app does not play any role in syncing at all. The role plays another piece of software that allows you to keep calendar data - this can be a google account, a caldav account (using an external caldav server - the account comes for example from davdroid) or a local calendar.

I agree. I just left the same suggestion on another "desktop" topic. Be great to sync over a wify connection. But not sure of what desktop program to use?
